Currently the South Fayette Wrestling program is a cooperative sport with Chartiers Valley serving as the host school. Those South Fayette students participating in wrestling do so over at Chartiers Valley High School. The co-op began with the 1999-2000 school year & continues to this day. Prior to the co-op, South Fayette had its own Junior High & Varsity wrestling teams. You can see some of their accomplishments from the available statistics listed on this site. What that also means is something very important – Any South Fayette child that wrestles for Chartiers Valley Junior High or Varsity team, all their accomplishments are recorded as Chartiers Valley as they are the host school. History will record forever that South Fayette student Mark McKnight won the 2003 PIAA State Championships for Chartiers Valley.
