Constitution & By-Laws

BY-LAWS

ARTICLE 6:  WRESTLERS' AND MEMBERS' RULES

Section 1
No parent will question the decision of any official at any time. Disrespect to a coach or official will not be tolerated.

Section 2
A child must be 5 – 12 years of age.

Section 3
A parent will be notified if a wrestler is to wrestle more than one weight class above his own weight.

Section 4
Wrestlers must attend a league match unless notice is given in advance that he cannot attend.

Section 5
Wrestlers must practice at least twice a week and participate with the team to be eligible to wrestle that weekend, unless excused by Head Coach.

Section 6
The program does not encourage weight loss.

Section 7
Any wrestler or parent caught destroying or tampering with school property will be removed from the program.

Section 8
No wrestler will be permitted to wrestle for another team without the head coach’s approval. He will never be permitted if it is against his teammate.

Section 9
A wrestler must compete in all scheduled meets and also compete in the WAWA tournament to receive a gift at the end of the season, unless excused by Head Coach.

Section 10
A wrestler’s age as of Jan. 1st of the current season will be his age for the season, including the WAWA tournament.

Section 11
All South Fayette Youth wrestlers shall wear the provided team uniform to all scheduled W.A.W.A. matches and tournaments. If a wrestler representing the South Fayette team fails to wear the team uniform, he/she will not be allowed to wrestle at that event.

Section 12
Mandatory attendance will be required for the WAWA tournament.

Section 13
Having qualified medical personnel on call at matches and tournaments will be mandatory.

Section 14
All members will aid in any fundraisers that support our club.

Section 15
All members will follow the applicable WAWA By-Laws, rules, and regulations as necessary.
