| September 17, 2002: This is my last practice at South Fayette until November. I can’t go to the Wednesday practice because I have soccer practice. This is a little mini-camp. Me, Josh Carmen and Travis Golden were the most experienced wrestlers there. We helped Coach Carr out because new kids were there. We had practices right now to get the new kids where we are right now and to see how they like it. First we practiced a Double Leg Take Down. Then we did a move when you chop someone’s arm and put a Half Nelson on them and pin them. Then we practiced a Sit Out. Then we played snake for 5 minutes. |
| September 11, 2002: I’m very excited to get back to wrestling. I can’t wait to wrestle for the Tournament Of Champions. I’m going to start going back to Quest School Of Wrestling soon. I’m going to have to go to Quest because I won’t have any more South Fayette practices until November after I do these at South Fayette. I want to go to Quest so I’ll be more experienced than the other kids in my bracket. This was “Bring A Friend Night” at South Fayette. We did this because if one of your friends didn’t sign up you could sign up there and wrestle the same day. The new kids were with Coach Carr. The kids that were experienced were with Coach Jeremy. First we practiced the Stand Up. Then we did a Sit Out. All 8 of us did it. Then we had to run at the end for 30 seconds. I’m also very excited to be going to the Kurt Angle Wrestling Classic. My Dad bought the plane tickets for all of us to go. Rulon Gardner, Cael Sanderson and the U.S. Olympic wrestling team are wrestling in the classic also. |
